William Julius Wooten was born on March 30, 1971 to the late Willie Eugene Wooten and Julianne Rebecca Wooten. William Wooten affectionately known as Lil Will attended the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from W.B. Saul High School Harvester for his love of animals in 1989. He attended Temple University under the National Park Rangers Program continuing that interest in his freshman year.
He was raised in a loving family by his parents William and Julianne “Becky” Wooten in North Philly (Strawberry Mansion). Will loved family, animals, cars, photography, and R & B music. Will had a race car collection of 30 cars that he adamantly raced on the weekends with his best friend Daryl. Will was a soft spoken, mild mannered and a generous man. He surrounded himself with family, friends, his childhood best friend Walter and went out of his way to visit his loved ones. One could always expect Will to show up expectantly or unexpectantly to express his love with food, to talk, a card, playing cards or a simple hello.
Will was baptized as a member of White Rock Baptist Church in Philadelphia giving his life to the Lord as a young adult. With over 20+ years in the financial sector employed at Advanta (10yrs), First Data (15yrs) as a Fraud Investigator and most recently furthering his professional career as a Consultant in IT Project Management.
He departed this life on December 26, 2021 at Lankenau Hospital surrounded by loved ones singing songs of Zion and praying. He leaves to mourn his brother John William Wooten (LaShanda), nieces Nechelle, Shanell & Danielle Wooten. His loving grandmother, Fannie Harrod, his aunts Carolyn, Valerie, Alona and Marshelle. His godbrother/cousin William Dunn (Celeste), godchild William Dominic Dunn, Paul Waters who he loved liked a son and a host of uncles, cousins, loved ones and friends.
