Virgie Palmer Obituary

On Monday, November 14, 2022, at Riddle Hospital, Virgie Renee Palmer, of Chester Pennsylvania has gained her wings upon Heaven, at the age of 64.  

Virgie is also known as Virg, Dirgie, Tub, Wo-wo, Boscovs and Fatty.  She was born on August 29, 1958, in Chester Pa. to her parents Father George Fuller and Mother Virginia McLaughlin. She attended Lincoln elementary, Showalter Jr. High, and Chester High schools. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed cooking for family and friends and very creative with home decorations.  Her faith in God was strong and she now resides in Heaven with Our Lord whom she loved dearly. 

Virgie our loving and cared for comedian mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was very funny she gave everyone a nick name.  She fed anyone and welcomed all with 

open arms and by the time you left her home you were fully fed and calling her mom mom or Auntie Virgie.  She loved to cook for all the family occasions.  Shopping, playing cards, and visiting the Chester Casino with her children and best friend Nina Hudnell were her favorite past times. 

Preceded her in death her loving Mother Virgina McLaughlin, stepdad James McLaughlin Sr., her maternal grandmother Virgina Bethea (Mom), and grandfather John Bethea (Pop), Uncle William Bethea (Peanut), son Walter Douglas Garret, Jr., and her grandson Isheam Palmer. 

The loved ones that she leaves to cherish her in memory are daughters Jacqueline Palmer and Wynetta Palmer, and son Maurice Palmer.  Sisters: Jamie McLaughlin Corley (Nomon), Bridget McLaughlin Smith (Keith), brother James (Jimmy) McLaughlin Jr., Aunt/sister Angela Bethea Cooper (Garry), Uncles John Bethea, Lymond Bethea (Nicole), Maurice Bethea (Cherine), nine grandchildren Ja’Shaun Palmer, Markeisha Palmer, Brianna Palmer, Lonetta Palmer, Tyson Vest, Linwood Glover Jr., Cierra Palmer, Jamie Palmer, Lyn’nasia Palmer, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

Virgie will forever be loved, missed, and remembered as a loving peaceful soul and she will live in our hearts for an eternity.
