Valdosta Lundy Obituary

Valdosta (DJ, Val) Lundy Sr was born on June 20, 1952 to the late Sylvester L. Lundy and Ella Rivers -Lundy in Chester Pa. A lifelong resident of Chester Pa, he graduated from Chester High School in 1970 and enlisted in the U.S Army and was honorable discharged then continuing his education by enrolling in brick masonry school and played the drums for a traveling band and enjoyed dancing and sliding across the floor to James Brown.

Val had a multitude of talents but most remembered for his love of cars. Carsarepretty was his email address. Val worked at many Auto Body shops throughout Pa learning several skills. His love and dedication for cars sparked his interest in becoming a proud family business owner of “Lundy’s Auto Body “located on 4th st in Chester Pa where his sons helped as well. After several back surgeries Val became paralyzed however that did not stop his passion to move Val washed cars, cut grass raked leaves and had no problem checking your car out if there was a problem all while in the wheelchair. If you rode passed his house he would be out in the yard doing something. Val also had a passion for drawling creating pictures of great details in his house you will find all of his creative detailed art work and bible scriptures hung throughout his home. One of his favorite quotes was “Lord forgive me for my sins” Val loved the lord and had no problem sharing Gods word. Val had awesome care givers who were there with him day and night Nicoll, James, Leandra until he was called home to be with the lord.

Val was preceded in death by his parents Sylvester L Lundy Sr and Ella Rivers-Lundy, 1 brother Hardy B Lundy Sr, 2 sisters Patricia G Smith, Barabra Jean Buie, 1 Grand Son Ronald L Lundy Jr

Val leaves to cherish his memory 2 loving friends Pathiona (Toosie) Edmondson and Bernice Lundy, 4 sons Valdosta Lundy jr of Glenmoore Pa, James Lundy of New Castle De, Ronald Lundy (Leandra) of Chester pa, Leroy Lundy (Marquiesha) Chester Pa, Ronnie Tyler of Chester Pa. 3 daughters Nicoll Lundy-Jimerson (Duane) of New Castle De, Barbra Tyler of Marcus Hook Pa, Margaret (Linell) Forman of Delaware. 1 Brother Sylvester L. Lundy Jr of Florida, 1 sister Lillie T. Lundy of Chester Township Pa, Grandchildren Shante, Shanae, Dymirah, Tashonda, Jai’mhy, Ramaj, Jamase, Vlenale, Taniyah, Nahfis, Kylie, Zah’nae, Zah’nir, La’niyah, Richard close friend Charles (Chuck) Wilson 6 Great Grands as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
