Taevon Jabree Garrett

Taevon Jabree Garrett, affectionately known as , "Tay G'S" was born on May 14, 1996 to Tamu Garrett and Renee Macklin at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Taevon departed this life on August 23, 2021.

He was educated in Chester-Upland and Chichester School Districts, graduating from Chichester High School in 2014. He earned the nickname "pizza man" by his grandmother Blondena, because he could knock off a whole pizza by the age of four.  Taevon just loved to eat, and was definitely a "chicken man" who enjoyed any kind of chicken you put in front of him.  A born hustler like his father, he started washing and detailing cars when he was 13 years old at Big Business on 9th & Engle Streets in Chester.  After high school, he began working at various places including The Concordville Inn, The Wyndham Hotel, and most recently at Endless Pools in Aston, PA. Tay G'S loved spending time with family and friends, especially his Mom Renee. Renee held a special place in his heart, and their bond will never be broken. He really enjoyed the times he hung with his Trainer St. Crew.

Taevon's new and greatest accomplishment was becoming a Dada to his baby boy, Junior. He always showed his unconditional love to him with joy and laughter.
Taevon leaves to survive him his parents Tamu Garrett and Renee Macklin, son Taevon Jr., his grandmothers Blondena Garrett and Sandar Macklin, five siblings, Shakiyl Smith, Janay Oliver, Ah-jee Garrett, Tahmir Lowrie and Ah-veyon Garrett, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends in addition to godparents, Jerome Porter and Fatima Reed Wright.

He also leaves to forever cherish their special relationship, the mother of his son, Deshona McNeil.

He was pre-deceased in death by his grandfathers, Franklin Holmes and Laird Ervin.
