Sybil E (Harper) Johnson

Sybil E. (Harper) Johnson, daughter of the late Thora I. (Waples) Harper and the late Roy Harper, was born and raised in the city of Chester, PA, went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2021, at the Manor Care nursing facility in Wallingford, PA.

“Tip” as she was fondly called by family and friends, was a loving mother of three children: John H. Johnson III, Joni Johnson-Williams and Jill Johnson-Rivera. Sybil was the grandmother of seven, the great grandmother of nineteen, the great-great grandmother of four; Sybil was also a loving sister to two sisters, Geraldine (Harper) Smith and she was pre-deceased by her sister, Adrienne (Harper) Mitchell. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.

Sybil, retired from Community Hospital of Chester, PA and was currently employed as a foster grand-parent at the Chester Upland School of the Arts, Chester, PA.

Sybil was an avid and faithful member of God’s House of Prayer and Repair Full Gospel Church, where she was installed as an Elder by her Pastor, Mary E. “Blessed” Williams.
