Ronald Kennedy Sr. was born on Jan 20, 1954 to Mr. and Mrs. Theodore and Edna Ruth Kennedy in Chester Pa. Ronald was educated in the Chester Upland School district graduating from Chester High School in 1972. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corps which in turned paid for him to attend Kutztown University to pursue Art. He was so gifted in that area. One day his grandson Manny challenged him to draw something random because he didn’t believe him. In no time at all, the most beautiful and detailed tree grew from pencil and paper. He was also a member of The Levitations singing group that he founded with his twin brother Roland. Ronald previously worked at the Glen Mills Schools, DuPont, Mirmont and retired from Coatesville Veterans Hospital. He was a member of Franklin Lodge #58. His smile, his laughter and overall presence was so warm! You could feel it the moment you encountered him…a pure, genuine soul. He was big on spending time with family and making new memories with all of his children and grandchildren. He leaves to mourn his children Ronald Kennedy Jr. (Sykia), Da’Ron Kennedy (Maysha), Ronier Kennedy, Ronisha Kennedy, Ronnell Kennedy (Melanisha), Ronea Cleveland, Monique Turner, 18 grandchildren, older brother Theodore Kennedy Jr. (Gloria) twin brother Roland Kennedy (Cecelia), sister Karen Newsome (Horace) and uncle Reginald Kennedy.
