Mildred Elaine Simpson

Mildred Elaine Simpson was born on May 14,1936. The second of six children to Charles Sr (d. 1982) and Wilma (d.2009) in Chester, Pennsylvania. Mildred was preceding in death by her brother, Charles Jr (d.2003), and sisters Jeanne (d.2016) and Florence (d.2021). She attended Chester-Upland district schools, graduating from Chester High School in 1954 playing volleyball and basketball. After graduating, she obtained her LPN and worked at Jefferson Hospital for 37 years, before retiring in 1997. After retirement, she focused on taking care of her mother. Her great passions were travelling and watching basketball.

Mildred passed away from this life on January 15, 2024. She is survived by her son, Kevin (Natasha), two brothers, William (Sandra) and John (Rita) Simpson, four grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Tishanay, Ryu, and Tatiana, five great-grandchildren, Sasha, Peyton, Kaci, Bryce, and Chloe, and a host nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was genuinely loved and will be eternally missed.
