Marshelle Louise Lee, age 50, Chester native and long-time resident, passed away peacefully in Prince George County, MD, on November 12, 2021 at 5:23 pm. Known as “Chelle” and/or “Michelle” to her family and friends, she was educated in the Chester Upland School District, and was a proud member of the Chester High School graduating Class of 1991.
In 2010, Marshelle relocated to Washington, District of Columbia, with her loyal friend, most trusted confidant and life partner, Sherri Cunningham, affectionately named by Marshelle as “Super Sherri”. Together, Marshelle and Super Sherri shared a life of everlasting love and devotion to their daughter, Mariyah; and their fur-babies, Summer and Trouble.
Marshelle was a beautiful woman with the gift of conversation and an outgoing personality. She loved fashion, had impeccable style and an eye for detail. Marshelle knew how to make a person look and feel fabulous. Her love of all things fun and fashionable was the catalyst to her launching her personal boutiques and businesses “Mar’s Closet”, “Marshelle’s Floral Designs” and her highly successful event planning company in Washington, DC, “Just2Tasty4U Entertainment. She also held “B-Suite Management positions in retail with Rue 21, U.S Patriot at St. Andrews AFB, and Peruvian Connection. Upon her sudden and untimely illness, Marshelle was employed as a Supervisor at Bags, Inc., at Ronald Regan Washington National Airport, Arlington, VA.
Marshelle loved her family and her friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William “Russell” T. Lee, Portsmouth, VA. Marshelle leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Marilyn L. Bell-Lee; companion, Sherri Cunningham, daughter, Mariyah Sharp, her fur-babies, Summer and Trouble; brothers, Billy J. Whitfield (Andrea), Williamson, North Carolina and William T. Lee, Jr. (Terrel), Bear, DE; sisters Ronnette D. Belle Johnson (Dante), Clayton, DE, Latoya “Candy” S. Ebron, Williamson, North Carolina, and Victoria S. Smith, Brookhaven, PA. God children, Kywanna Anderson, Devonaire Thomas, Atashe Thomas and Azitae Thomas. Cousins with whom she was raised with as brothers and sisters, Robert W. Anderson, Wayne L. Anderson (Stephanie), Tasheka C. Thomas and Kimberly E. Jackson. And, a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews God children, family and friends whom she dearly loved.
