Mario Gonzalez

Mario Gonzalez Crespo of Chester, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Crozer Chester Hospital. He was 51 years old. 

Mario was born June 5, 1970 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico to Francisco Gonzalez and to the late Olga Crespo Sotomayor in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico. His parents moved to Chester when he was 3 where he lived most of his life.  

Mario “Rome”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a graduate of Chester High School in Chester, PA  and worked as a building inspector.  He played little league baseball and enjoyed breakdancing as a child. He loved music, spoke 4 languages, and enjoyed reading. He loved sports, especially baseball and football and was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the New England Patriots. 

Mario “Rome” will be remembered as one of the most caring and generous men you had the privilege to know. His love was unconditional. He was devoted to his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. 

He is survived by his parents: Francisco and Milagros Gonzalez, sister Yarelis Correa, and his son, Elian Avery Gonzalez. He is survived also by his brother: Francisco Gonzalez, Jr. with his wife Evelyn, his nephews, Jonathan Colon, Justin Colon, Javion Gonzalez, and niece, Jeilani Gonzalez; His sister:  Kim Delgado with her husband Jayson Ramos, his nephew, Yadiel Vega, and his niece, Stephanie Rodriquez; His sister: Yadira Flecha and her husband Jose, his nephews, Christian Gonzalez, Julian Flecha, and his niece, Cianni Flecha; His sister: Rebecca Flecha and her husband Miguel, his nephews, Elijah Flecha, Isaiah Flecha, and Samuel Flecha; His sister: Tamara Ortiz, his nephew, Felix Rivera and niece, Angelica Rivera; and, by his life partner: Kimberly Jennings, her son, David, daughter, Pamela and grandson, Mason who all loved him dearly.
