Please join us in celebration of Nini’s life on Friday, December 27, 2024. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. with an 11:00 a.m. mass at St. John Chrysostom (617 South Providence Road, Wallingford, PA 19086). Lunch is to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Nini — a devoted mother, grandmother, and beloved friend — passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 94. Nini’s family was originally from Italy but sought refuge by emigrating to Argentina as Nini was born in 1931. From humble beginnings on a farm, she grew up with a strong sense of family and resilience. After moving to Rosario, Argentina, Nini left school at a young age to support her family by sewing—a craft she perfected over decades.

In 1963, she and Omar, her late husband, moved to the United States while their daughters, Susana and Miriam, were still young. Not knowing a lick of English at the time, she managed to become a respected seamstress where she tailored for her community and beyond. In the United States, Nini’s life was enriched by her extraordinary ability to form deep, enduring friendships. Here, she worked on creating a second family that spanned generations and transcended bloodlines. Nini extended her warmth to everyone she met, turning neighbors into lifelong friends and ensuring no one ever felt alone.

Her generosity was limitless, offering her time, talent, and love to all. She sewed costumes, wedding dresses, and keepsakes for friends and family, often refusing payment simply to help those she cared about. She was the glue that brought people together, cooking for and hosting gatherings that blended cultures and created a sense of belonging. She took her role as a mother and grandmother seriously, serving as an exemplary figure of what it means to love and care for your community. Her artistic legacy of kindness, connection, and joyful inclusivity will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
