Linda C. Ryals, 79 of Chester, PA. passed away on January 31, 2023, at Sunrise Senior Living in Blue Bell, PA.
She was born and raised in Chester and lived there most of her life except for a short period of time she lived in Claymont, Delaware with her family. She was educated in the Chester school system and attended Frederick Douglass middle school, and Chester High School where she received her diploma.
In 1967, she had a son, Darryl, and three years later married James Ryals.
She worked many different jobs throughout her life (to many to fit on this obituary), a sewing factory in Philadelphia, Scott Paper in Chester, Mars Candy in New Jersey, and finally Boeing’s helicopter division in Eddystone.
Early in life she participated in several civil rights marches and received an electrician certification during her time at Boeing.
In her free time, Linda, or “Lin” as she was known by her friends’ enjoyed outings at horse racing tracks and casinos, but also enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and spending time with cousins and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Richard Dale (1970); brother Ronald Dale (2002); mother Anna-Mae Ellis-Dale (2005); maternal uncles (Major, Fred, and Nathaniel Ellis); and paternal aunt and uncle (Al Dale & Beulah Wallace).
She is survived by her son Darryl Dale, and daughter-in-law Leiselle Dale pronounced (lee-sell) living in Goodyear, AZ. And granddaughters D’Atra and Dominique from a previous marriage.
