Leroy Folks, 72, was born August 4, 1943 in Delaware to the late Percy and Mary Folks. He was the seventh of fifteen siblings born that blessed the union of the late Percy and Mary Folks. Leroy received his formal education in Wilmington, De at Howard High School. In 1961, Leroy met and married the ‘one and only’ love of his life, Pamela Folks. Theirs’ was a love story that would last 54 wonderful and memorable years. Leroy transitioned back in the hands of the Lord on April 12,2016
Leroy was passionate about the world of antiques and collectibles. He delighted in restoring, buying, and selling antique furniture. He could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. Leroy’s fervent entrepreneurial spirit later led him and his wife,
Pam, to own and operate several of their own antiques and furniture stores. He later
retired and devoted his time enjoying his wife and family.
Everyone who knew or came in contact with Leroy was touched by his gentle nature and giving heart. He had an uncanny sense of humor. Those he cared for understood that he valued spending quality time and prioritized quality friendships.
His no-nonsense approach to life and family earned him, fondly, the nickname “Big
Guns”, by some family members. Leroy’s final days were spent surrounded by his close family and friends.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife Pamela; his beloved sisters Grace and Sharon; brothers Thomas and Reggie; sisters in law, brothers in law, and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and of course his protective pet terriers Prince, Tiko, and Fatty.
