Laura Frances Lewis, affectionately known as “Nan” to everybody and the matriarch of the family, she was born January1, 1924 to the late Iffie Lee Manson McCray. She is the last of 28 siblings. Laura was educated in the Chester Upland School District. She worked at the Media Court House as supervisor of the custodian Dept. for 20 years. She enjoyed specding time with her children , grandchildren great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Laura was famous or cooking her favorite friend chicken, fried crabs and potato salad. She was a member of First Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of minister M. R. McKnight. She was a foster parent to over 60 children in her life time. Preceding her death 27 siblings.
