Lamont N. White (Monty as he was called) was born in Chester, Pa on September 13, 1952 to the late Henry White and the late Mary Myers. He was educated in the Chester School System. Monty worked many jobs. He worked for Joe’s Building and Plumbing for more than 17 years, than he became a custodian for the Chester Community Charter School.
Monty loved to work with his hands. There was never any job to big or to small that he could not do, and if he couldn’t he knew someone who could. He could fix almost anything. He made picture frames, stools, toy boxes, lamps you name it. He was also a people person and could be very funny at times. Monty would give the shirt off his back. He was always giving things away without his wife’s permission and would say “you weren’t using it!” He was a member of God’s House of Glory Haven of Peace where he served as Deacon.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 40 years, Patricia, children Chantel and Levere (Nicole) both of Chester, Pa. Four grandchildren who he loved dearly Levere, Brendan, Lavon and Lailah. One Uncle Ernest White and a host of relatives and friends.
