Celebration of life 

Kortney Nicole Staples age 33 departed on July 12th, 2026, at Delaware waterfront. Kortney W Staples was born March 2nd, 1993, at Crozer Chester medical center. Daughter of Sonia Staples and Elwood Wayman Gardner Jr. 

She was born & raised in Chester PA where she attended Grade and high school graduating class 2012 of Chester High School, she then became and early childcare teacher/assistant at All 4 Kidz early learning center, also working as a waitress at Dennys diner for 8 years until she became a home health care provider.

Kortney was a great aunt ,sister and friend. She enjoyed being the life of the party dancing and singing Kortney was a pistol but that’s what made her so loving, she was one of a kind ,having a great sense of fashion and style Kortney was also a hairdresser in her spare time Kortney had a great love for music , family, friends and food especially her snacks 

Kortney was also a member of Bethany Baptiste Church located in Chester PA.

Kortney precedes in death by her mother Sonia her father, sister Kaniyah , grandparents and great grandparents Ida and Moses her stepfather Rickey McBride and past lover Jabrill Williams 

Kortney leaves to cherish her Brothers and sisters Kyle, Keyon, Koron, Kyren, Korinne, Karissa, Kristen, Kaprice And Kashay nieces and nephews Kahsiy, Kaseem, Keyon Jr., Karson, Koda, Kiyon, Kylie, Kody, and Ka’Zahra Staples all of Chester PA and a host of loving family, friends, stepbrothers and sisters.
