Kelly Lynn Sr. Obituary

Kelly Robert Lynn Sr. (known as “Blue, Shockey, and Kelly Mac”) was born on June 29, 1957 in Charles County, Maryland to James Washington Sr. and Betty Ann Lynn. He was the first of eight siblings. Kelly helped raise his younger siblings with his father after the passing of his mother. Kelly attended Charles County Public Schools and graduated from Lackey High School in 1976. Kelly shortly moved to the City of Chester, PA where he met the mother of his five children, Joyce Hammond in 1985. Kelly’s employment was with “Pennsylvania Heavy & Highway Union” where his work consisted of road construction. Unfortunately, Kelly medically retired due to a heart condition in 2012. Kelly loved spending time with his family. He was a hard working, God fearing man and an awesome provider for his family. Kelly fell in love with riding motorcycles and admiring Cadillac’s and old school cars at a young age. He enjoyed watching old black and white cowboy movies and his favorite team, the “Philadelphia Eagles”. Some of Kelly’s favorite television shows were “the Bernie Mac show” and “Cops”. He enjoyed fashion and frequently purchased nice clothes and shoes. His favorite colors were blue, red, black and yellow. He was a long time member of the motorcycle club “Sports Club Continental ll Mother Chapter” where he loved spending most of his time with his club members. His favorite stores to visit were K & G clothing store and Walmart. Kelly often had a taste for “Chocolate Frosty’s (chocolate ice cream) and “Biggie Bags” from Wendy’s. His favorite drink was an iced cold Diet Coke. He also enjoyed listening to Southern soul and jamming to Oldies But Goodies while dancing in the living room. Some of his favorite songs were “Slow Roll It" by the Love Doctor, “Clean Up Woman” by Betty White and “Hole in the Wall” by Mel Waiter. Kelly lived a full meaningful life as a dedicated and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His selfless, calm, and warm spirit was felt by all who crossed his path. He instilled his hard working morals into his children and they will forever live on.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents Betty Ann Lynn and James Washington Sr. His grandparents Dorothy Key and grandfather Gertie and Bernard Washington.

Kelly’s cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of his five children (one daughter and his four sons) Carlos Reynolds, Kelly Lynn Jr., Frankie Lynn, Moses Lynn and Faith Lynn-Hammond. His eleven grandchildren. Emmanuel Smith, Car’leshia Reynolds, Arie’Onna Lynn, Frankie Lynn Jr, Jeremiah Lynn, Elijah Lynn, Mason Lynn, Kingston Lynn, Kayden Lynn, Journee Lynn, and London Lynn. His seven siblings ( three brothers and four sisters) Joyce “Ree” Lynn-Jackson, James “Pig” Washington Jr, Shelia Washington, Sandra Washington, David Washington (Dana), Christine “Neecee” Washington, Chris “Steven” Washington. Nieces and Nephews: Kizzie & Keissa Keys, Jammal Lynn, Ahmad Washington, Tayala Carroll, Richard Carroll, Tyran Carroll. Bestfriends: Larry Barksdale Sr., Earl Baltimore(Deceased), Walter “Poppy” Washington Jr, William Washington Sr., Horace Newsome, John “Uncle Johnny” Washington, and Robert “Butch” Butcher. Along with a host of aunts, great aunts, uncles, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
