John T Cherry was born October 6, 1964, in Chester PA. He was the second oldest of three children born to Oliva L. Cherry and the late John T. Cherry. Johnny as he was affectionately known passed away September 23, 2021. Johnny was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Johnny graduated from Chester High School and CDL truck driving school of Philadelphia. He had many jobs over the years, he worked West Chester University, CCMC, School bus driver for Brandywine School District, however, his passion was truck driving. Johnny drove trucks for USPS, Estes, U.S.Xpress, Western Express, Johnson Control, and Ruan.
Johnny enjoyed life to the fullest, he also enjoyed vacationing with his family. Johnny enjoyed meeting new people and could talk for hours. His favorite thing to do was to attend the Annual Philadelphia Truck Show with his brother and their sons.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memory his mother Oliva L. Cherry of Chester, PA, his wife Robin Cherry of Newark, DE. His sons Brandon Cherry (Ashley), Anthony Cherry, his daughters Tyra Cherry, Shakedda Wallace, and Charnella Strickland, his brothers Wendell Cherry (Ursulla), Larry Cherry (Mary). His God-Sister Lynette Collins [James}. His grandchildren Robyn Cherry, Elijah Cherry, Makayla Cherry, Journey Miller, Avery Strickland, Aubrey Strickland, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
