Joan F. Freeman was born on April 14, 1948, to the late Calvin Showell & Minnie Bentley in Chester, Pennsylvania. Joan was educated in the Chester-Upland School District, and she graduated from Chester High School in 1967. She worked for 30 years at Fiber Metals then retired from Alloy’s . She enjoyed a wonderful life with Family & Friends. She was a former member of St Paul’s Church from 1993 to 2018 where she served as an Usher. She was a current member of True Fellowship Bible Church since 2019. Joan was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin, godmother and friend. She stepped in to the presence of the Lord on February 12, 2024 . Joan was preceded in death by her parents Calvin Showell and Minnie Bentley , brothers James and St even Bently and David Showell and sister Jacque line Showell. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Nakia Freeman, Grandson Henry McCommonsIII. She also leaves behind her twin sister Joanne Hucks (Richard) and Dorothea Showell; brothers Michael C. Bently (Vivian), Calvin, Russell and Arthur Showell (Denay); dear friends June McGuire, Paulette Wells, Tina Coleman, Darlene Martin and Naomi Muse and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
