Janet Redd

Janet Redd was born as part of a duo to Samuel and Emma Redd on June 13,1945 in Chester, Pa. Janet gracefully and peacefully made her ascent home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 11,2020,

Janet was educated bin Chester Upland School District. She worked as a Housekeeper Supervisor at Best Western Hotel in Concordville, Pa where she earned her nickname “The Big Boss Lady” until retirement. Janet was a fun-loving woman with a big laugh and a heart of gold. Her generosity and her welcoming demeanor were always her strongest assets. There was never a dull moment in her home, and she loved it just that way. NO! Was not a word she used often, Her door was never locked and her house was rarely empty. Janet loved playing cards,Bingo and watching wrestling however the greatest loves of her life were her grandchildren.

Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory, Her lifetime companion Israel Mottas, 3 sisters Joyce Redd(Twin), Yvonne Gillette and Sharon Redwood. Sister in law Bertha Redd, Brother in law Truitt Gillette. 4 daughters Anita Redd, Antoinette Bullock (Keith), Teresa Mottas -Fairley(Brain) Martha Mottas. 2 Sons Israel Janeer Redd and Jamaar Redd(Joneeta), 23 grandchildren,42 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, saddened family members and cherished friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Emma Redd, 2 sisters Rose Cobb and Benita Redd, 2 brothers James Redd and Ronald Redd, Daughter Serdina Mottas and grandson Jamaar Lavonne Redd Jr.
