James Wilson went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 13, 2022 at the blessed age of 74. He was born on April 23, 1948 to the loving and late parents, James and Florence Wilson in Norfork Virginia.
James was lovingly known as "Jimmy"to those who knew him personally and as "Jim Jim" by his loving wife Betty. Jimmy was raised in Chester, Pennsylvania where he attended the City of Chester school system. Soon following High School Graduation Jimmy joined and served the United States Army, where he served three years with love and pride for his country.
Jimmy was a devoted husband giving his all to his wife Betty, and supporting her always! They shared many years together enjoying the "good life," Good times, good food, and good fun! They were not only husband and wife but remained the best friends they were prior to marriage.
Jimmy retired from Boeing as a faithful employee of 38 years. He served there as a maintenance supervisor, where he was a loved respected, and appreciated by his fellow employees. It was here at Boeing where he met his 2nd wife, Betty Allen Wilson, who was also employed there as well. They were united in Holy Matrimony in August, 1987.
Jimmy was a private, quiet and humble person. A man of a few words and a great listener, with a strong Christian faith. His favorite music at one time was R & B which switched to Gospel as his faith in Jesus grew. His two most favorite songs were "I found the Lily in My Valley, by Brian Hanly and Been Through Enough," by Darrel Wynn. His favorite Scripture was Psalm 90:2 which he often recited. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Jimmy loved to kick back and enjoy a good wrestling match, or just being thrown back in time cracking up with Betty, his wife watching the "Three Stooges." To Jimmy, the smaller things were always the greater things in life. His greatest time was simply being home and enjoying life
Jimmy came from a family of Seven siblings, truly a blessed number. His parents and five of his siblings predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Allen Wilson, 3 step children, Michael, Angelo, and Lisa, one daughter Nedra from a former marriage, 2 older siblings whom all were very close, Barbara and Larry. A host of nieces, nephews, and family and friends on both sides. Jimmy was loved and will be tremendously missed.
Jim Jim you slipped away so unexpectedly,; the words in my heart I could not say...
It is ok because you will forever be a part of me, in my heart always from the very start...
It won't be long though before we meet again, and then we will sing and dance with the Lord together for eternity!
Missing you love, forever and a day, in my heart you shall always stay...
Jimmy. l didnt get to say good bye and we both know that's because the trumpet is about to sound and we will be together again..
Love, and missing you terribly.
Betty
