James C. Brown III born at Chester Hospital on December 3, 1955 passed away on Monday January 11, 2021. He did not suffer as he quietly and peacefully was gracefully greeted by the mighty triumphant angels from a brief illness at Crozer Hospital. James was preceded in death by his parents James C. Brown II and Elizabeth J. Young-Gibbs. James graduated from Chester High School in 1975, then headed to Tennessee State University to study Biology in preparation for Pre-Med in 1980, later transferring Fisk University in 1985 for sports medicine. Worked as a utility operator before pursuing a career in healthcare at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Delaware County, James found fulfillment working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where he later retirement after many years of devoted care and service.
Attending Bethany Baptist Church in the City of Chester as a young boy, James was a member of Asbury African Methodist Episcopal Church in Chester, Pa while also enjoying time spent fellowshipping at Integrity Christian Center also located in Chester, Pa he appreciated his time spent with his church family as an active member that was reliable and dependable.
James could be seen proudly representing the City of Chester, in his Chester High School class colors of orange and black even as he showed his team spirit for the Seattle Seahawks football team and the Detroit Pistons basketball team, James was an avid lover of sports and would passionately discuss the highlights of his favorite sporting event and teams. His love for others gave him the desire to meet and engage people on a regular basis that over the last several years he started vending products such as urban clothing and various types of fragrances including oils and candles with such creativity that he grew a regular customer base for his products at the Market Place Flea Market in the City of Chester.
Born into a large loving family, James was predeceased by the following siblings: Dorothy Brown, George Young and Joseph Brown. James leaves to cherish his memories: Elizabeth Young, Wilsie (Lamont) Hughes, Barbara Sapp, Lorraine (Roger) Morgan, Lamont Young, Geraldine Young, Alphonso David (Elyse) Brown, Rebecca (Kevin) Wilson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, including great nieces and nephews, as well as cousins.
