James Anderson Obituary

James Edward Anderson A.k.a "Y" was born to Juanita Womack and the late James Anderson on September 15th, 1973, in Washington D.C.  James was raised in Twin Oaks Pa and was educated in the Chichester School District and Graduated in 1992. While there James played football for Chi for several years.

James had many jobs over the years. He was part of the Union Local 413 . He loved working on the pipeline. James started his own business called Anderson's grass cutting and power washing LLC.

James had many loves in life. His main one was his son Quest Micheal Anderson. He loved football and his favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens. He cheered them on and trash talked for his team every season. James loved a good road trip. Weather it was a trip to the family farm in Virginia or going to Bike week in Myrtle Beach when he was younger. Or trips to different beaches. He took his son on one last Spring break to Miami and to our home in VA. In April.

James was known for his signature drink Mad Dog 2020 or having a cold beer in the cooler. James loved to talk junk, make jokes. He was loud , rude, crazy, and laid back. He had a quiet cocky confidence. He always thought he was the finest man in the building with his fresh stick of ChapStick and his signature fresh pair of white Reeboks and a deep hardy laugh. He loved music, fishing, and cooking on the grill. Every summer he would host family and friends for a Crab feast we would eat, drink, and talk smack (his favorite thing).

Over the last 6yrs. James was stricken with several illnesses he fought his way back several times. Sadly, James's struggle ended on July 7th, 2026. James was preceeded in death by his father James Anderson and his favorite Aunt Catherine W. Moore. James is survived by his beloved son Quest Micheal Anderson, and his devoted Mother Juanita Womack, one Aunt Elisabeth Womack and one Uncle Lawrence "Larry " Moore Sr.. Four sisters/cousins Danita "Toya" Womack, Jernine L. Moore (Marty), NaTisha L. Moore, and Catriana L. Moore and her son Larynzo J. Moore. He was affectionately called Uncle James by several honorary kids; Nieces LaNiyah Johnson, and Ryan Martinez, and four nephews Amir and Amar Winchester, and Cooper and Mark Martinez, and a host of cousins and friends.

Knowing James was to love him. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, laughter, and love that will live on in our hearts Forever.
