Irene Thornton

Irene Thornton was born December 03, 1970, to Violetta Thornton and John Wayne Thornton, Sr. in Chester PA, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Irene was educated in Chester Upland School District where she went on to receive her high school diploma from Chester High School. She went on to further her education at job Corp. She was employed for many years at KFC.

Irene loved socializing with family and friends. She enjoyed going to church and going to Harrah’s Casino. Irene loved spending time with and spoiling her great niece, Sharon. She also enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend Raymond Jones. Irene enjoyed passing time talking on the phone gossiping with her favorite aunts Harriet and Barbara.

One of Irene’s greatest accomplishments was becoming a mother, and she enjoyed every moment of motherhood. She took utmost pride in raising her son Dwight. Irene was the eldest of all her sibling and took on that role well.

She leaves to cherish her memory her song Dwight Thornton, two sisters Pauline Thornton and Violetta Thornton, two Brothers John Wayne Thornton, Jr and Bobby Robert Thornton and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents Violetta Thornton and John Wayne Thornton, Sr.
