Chester, PA – Hilda M. Lopez, 80, passed away suddenly.
Born on December 12, 1945, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Hilda was the beloved daughter of Paula Delgado and Rafael Lopez. She grew up with two sisters and five brothers, a close-knit family that would later reunite in the United States. At the age of 18, Hilda moved to New York City, where she was soon followed by her entire family, beginning a new chapter in their lives together.
Hilda worked as a seamstress for 42 years, dedicating her talents and hard work to her craft. Her meticulous work and commitment to excellence earned her the respect of colleagues and friends.
A proud mother, Hilda’s love and devotion to her only daughter, Nora Hilda Melendez, were the cornerstones of her life. Her strength, compassion, and generosity shaped not only her family but also all who were fortunate enough to call her a friend. She was a cherished sister, aunt, and a wonderful friend who radiated kindness and care in everything she did.
Hilda is survived by her daughter, Nora Hilda Melendez; her two sisters and five brothers; 15 nephews and 7 nieces. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her warmth, giving nature, and loving spirit will live on in the memories of all who were touched by her life.
