Evelyn “Evie” Corneilanne Freeman-Perry was born to the late Aaron Paul Freeman and Dorisanne Freeman-Bowling on March 17, 1954, and departed January 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Affectionately called “Evie” she had attended and graduated Chester High school, Chester Pa, where she met her High School sweetheart, the late Oliver Ferguson. From their union, they had (5) children, Oliver Freeman, Ronie Perkins-Ellis, The late Dewayne Freeman. Nakita Freeman and Claressa Purnell. Additionally, Falon Freeman, Raymond Guy, Shante Freeman-Rykard, and Shannan Freeman-Rykard. And a Goddaughter Shantese cooper-Tull.
Evie was a very devoted mother and wife. She had a loving spirit and a caring heart. She was employed in her earlier years at Fair Acres(1989), Lima Pa., and a host of other jobs including her latest job at Successful Nursing Care, Darby Pa. As a Nursing assistant until her health failed.
Evie also attended Wilfred Beauty Academy School. She was known for doing hair, and her great cooking. She enjoyed playing cards and in her spare time, you could often find her at a card game or casino.
She loved children and was known as a full-time caregiver for additional family members. She was a major parental figure for a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
She later met and married her husband LLyod V. Perry. They were married on June 11, 2011, by the late Dr.Ruth E. Britt at Friendship U.A.M.E. Fellowship Church where she faithfully volunteered as an Usher, Hospitality and Woman's Ministry. She is survived by her husband Llyod V. Perry, her Sisters: Quinntoria Rice, Stella Freeman, and Regina Spence. Brothers: Darrel Freeman(Vanessa), Anthony Freeman(Bonnie), Marlowe Freeman(Angelina), and Paul Spence. 26 grandchildren and 21 greatgrands and a host of other relatives, friends, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by her Father: Aaron Paul Freeman. Brothers: Aaron P. Freeman Jr., Avery E. Freeman.Sisters: Cecilia M. Freeman, Tonya Freeman-Johnson. Son: Dewayne Freeman and Grandmother Florence Naylor.
