Delia Marrero Obituary

Delia Marrero, lovingly known as Sweet D, passed away on July 24, 2024 at the age of 56. She was born on October 24, 1967 in Chester, PA. Delia had been a resident of the same city throughout her life.

Delia will always be remembered as the most sincere and kindhearted person. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she would open her home and heart to anyone in need. Delia had a unique gift of making people feel welcomed, comforted, loved, and those who had the pleasure of knowing her will forever cherish that feeling.

Family was everything to Delia. She adored her children, grandchildren, and her husband Calvin. Her favorite place in the world was being at home, with her loved ones gathered around her, creating precious memories.

Delia began her career as an assistant teacher at Head Start, where she nurtured and guided young minds. She later became a dedicated case worker, always advocating for the wellbeing of children. Delia's passion for helping others was shown throughout her profession.

Delia is survived by her loving husband, Calvin and her five children: Tiana (Brandi), Darryl (Candice), Edwin, Jovani (Hameen), Josh and Christian.

She also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Anyah, Troy, Jennah, Aniyah, Juetz, Jenson, Jayden, Madisyn and Semaj.

Delia also leaves behind her siblings, her brothers: Luis (Tracie), Ricky (Connie), Freddy (Mina) sisters, Stephanie, Lisa, Debbie and Lillian (Best friend), along with a host of other family, friends and associates.

Delia was proceeded in death by her mother Octavia Marrero, father Luis Morales, brother Rick and sister Carmen.

Delia Marrero's departure has left an immense void in the lives of those who knew her. Her kind spirit and selflessness will forever be remembered, and her presence will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace
