C. Arthur Bennett Jr, age 50, was born on August 13, 1974 in Salisbury, Maryland to 
Jeanie L. Fox and the late C. Arthur Bennett Sr. He was the second of seven children and was affectionately known as “Art”. Art transitioned on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. 

In 1979, Art moved to Chester, Pa where he was educated in the Chester Upland School District. Art worked as a barber for many years, as he was known for his passion for cutting hair. Along with cutting hair, Art loved drawing, playing the guitar, going fishing, and being the funniest person in the room while enjoying time with his family and friends.

Nine years ago, Art met his wife Sharonda, lovingly known as Sharon, and they were united in marriage on August 18, 2018. In 2019, Art and his wife relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he became the president of the Silverback Riders of N.C. He was employed by the Hilton Hotel and a proud owner of his clothing brand A.B.A “Art by Art”.

Art will always be remembered as the highlight of every party, as he was known for filling the room with laughter. His kind and funny spirit was felt by everyone who crossed his path. 

Art’s cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Sharonda Bennett; his mother, Jeanie Fox; his stepfather, Leroy Fox Sr; his two daughters, Artaysha Bennett and Lyric Bennet; his stepchildren, Michael Benning and Kyteesha Benning; his sister, Denise Cottman-Cooper ( Michael ); his brothers, Kendrick Bennett, Antoine Landing, Leroy Fox Jr, and Melvin Fox; his uncle, Robert Cottman; his beloved aunt, Iris Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a close circle of friends better known to him as 
“Clean Az A Whistle”.

Art was preceded in death by his son; Jayden Bennett; his brother, Jermaine Bennett; two very special uncles, Albert “Tommy” Landing and Ervin Landing; and his father, C. Arthur Bennett Sr.
