Brett Williams Jennings, affectionately known as BJ, was born November 9th 1965, and God called him home to Glory on Monday October 31, 2016.
Brett attended Chester High School where he played varsity football, and was a “Class of 83” graduate. BJ was a veteran as he served in the United States Army. BJ had a passion for driving trucks and this was a fitting career choice for him. BJ was self-employed as an independent contractor he previously worked for Bing doing nationwide logistics mapping, and his most recent assignment was with Amazon providing parcel delivery services.
BJ had a vibrant personality, he loved to spend time with his family, make people laugh, and hang out with his close friends known as “The Squad”. Although he enjoyed many sports, football was one of his favorites and he was such a fanatic for the Dallas Cowboys that he always tried to get someone to join in with his team spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lauren Jennings and Robert Pope Sr., maternal grandparents Mary Lena Starkey-Jennings and Willie Lewis Jennings, special Aunt Naomi Starkey- Edwards and Brother Roy Hice. Brett leaves to cherish his memories five children daughters; Lashanta Jennings, Ashlee Morales and Brianna Jennings of Chester, Pa; Parisha and De’ Brea Blount of Philadelphia Pa. Three brothers, Keith McNear and Robert Pope Jr, of Chester, PA and Ronell Pope of Wisconsin, four sisters, Larita, Vernita, and Sonya Pope of Chester, PA; Marla Pope of Greenville, NC. Five grandchildren, LaNycia, Lamaj, Aden, Lyrique, and Karter, his dear Aunt Linda Jarrett and Uncle Richard Gibbs; Two cousins that he had an endearing relationship Kevin “Pimp” Showell and Stephanie Jennings, and a whole host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
