Barbara Ann Corbin

Barbara Ann Davis Corbin is the daughter of Maggie Robinson Pinder and Henry Davis. She
was born on April 21, 1966 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. On August 5, 2020, she departed this
life to join her heavenly father.
Barbara married her high school sweetheart Damon Corbin, Sr., and together they raised five
beautiful children: Damon Jr., Devon, Darrell, Davar, and Zariah. Barbara and Damon relocated
to New Jersey from Chester, Pennsylvania almost 20 years ago to create a life for their family.
Barbara valued education and desired success for all her children, and she did whatever it took
for her children to be successful. Barbara’s pride and joy was that all her children graduated from
high school, and she was enjoying the fruits of her labor.
Barbara had a vivacious personality. She loved her family and enjoyed holiday gatherings.
Throughout the years, Barbara cooked and hosted parties for family and friends. She had a
creative eye. Her biggest passions were fashion, clothing, and home décor. She would make a
room look new using one or two pieces.
Barbara also loved traveling and would go on trips as much as possible. She especially loved
road trips so she could take in the sights. A quick “Barb, let’s go” would get her going.
Barbara was very helpful, supportive, and provided a good listening ear. Her infectious smile and
signature dimples always made her friends and family feel loved. Her friendly nature and
compassion lifted the hearts of so many especially in their times of need.
The oldest child of Maggie Robinson Pinder and Henry Davis, Barbara was preceded in death by
her grandparents: Remall Williams, John E ”Shorty” Jamison, Thomas and Ellen Davis and
siblings Victoria Huggins and Babyboy Davis.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Damon Sr.; children, Damon Jr. and
his wife Jessica, Devon and his wife Lauren who is expecting her first grandchild, Darrell,
Davar, and Zariah. She also leaves her parents Maggie and her husband Victor, Henry and his
wife Bernice, as well as, her siblings Henry, Perceen, Johnny, Micaela, Jada and her husband
Marcus, Faith, Kelly, and Victor, Jonah; her nieces and nephews Cortez, Tameka, Marcus,
Henry, and Malachi, and Talia, and a host of other loving family and friends
