Antonhio Whitaker Obituary

Antonio Lefenus Whitaker was born to Joshua and Ernestine Whitaker on January 23,1961 at Chester Hospital. Antonio was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church for many years he participated in Easter programs, Children's Day programs and Christmas programs. He attended Bethany track team and attended eastern district spring institute. Antonio graduated from Chester high school in 1979. That year Antonio facilitated a karate class in Chester high school. He was a Black Belt in karate specializing in taekwondo. Antonio was very athletic and participated in various sports where he earned a plethora of trophies. Antonio joined the army in 1980 where he served as a nuclear weapon specialist. He married Lindsey Lewis Whitaker in 1980. Antonio and Lindsey had two children, a daughter, Cierra Whitaker-Leisey and ,a son, Antonio Lefenus Whitaker. After an honorable discharge from the military, he had obtained his Computer Engineering Degree. Antonio worked for Mars Electronics for 20 years and in those 20years he worked his way up to Lead engineer. Antonio was also adjunct Professor at Temple University in Philadelphia. Antonio then retired from Mars Electronics, but during his retirement, he worked the variety of contract jobs doing what he loved, and that was working with computers. Antonio spent time with family and friends, and was known for his humor and infectious laughter. Antonio leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Joshua Whitaker, and two children, daughter, Cierra Whitaker- Leisey and ,son, Mikal Antonio Lafenus Whitaker, brother, Joshua Jr. sisters, his sisters Bettie and Selena, two aunts Carrie and Hedy and a host of nieces and nephews, family and a host of friends.
