Lillie Ruth Mobley lovingly known as Ruthie was born Aug 9, 1955 in Chester PA.  She was the youngest child of the late Thomas Mobley and Lillie Mae Hampton- Mobley. Ruthie was educated in the Chester Upland School District. She attended Chester High School where she received her diploma. Ruthie attended Cheney and Newman University where she studied early childhood development.  She also attended Back to Basics School of Ministry where she received an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies and ordained as a Minister.

Ruthie worked as a teacher at Elwyn Institute until she was diagnosed with cancer. After her first chemo treatments she returned to work at Carter's Open Arms where she was dearly loved; her cancer returned and she had to stop working. 

Ruthie loved helping others; she would put clothes out on her fence to help others but spending time with her family is what made her happy. Ruthie departed this life on Wednesday October 25, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Jeffrey Gregory, two daughters Aisha Mobley and Chimere Mobley Rice. Her son in law James Rice and her future son in law Antoine Jean. 7 grandchildren- Dennis Anderson, Dasha Bentley, Maryea  and Janiya Rice, Michael Carroll Jr, Derrick Carroll and soon to be born Ta'Carra Jean, 1 great grandson Derrick Carroll lll, 2 surviving sisters Rachael Rambert and Loretta Johnson.

Preceding her in death are 2 sisters Dorothy Carosco, Betsy Hampton, 8 brothers Edward, Benjamin, Toma-Lee, Curtis, Johnny-Robert, John B, Robert Mobley and Theodore Hampton.  A host of nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished very much.
